Montse Skyner

Montse is a Legal Director at Lanier, Longstaff, Hedar & Roberts LLP and has responsibility for supervising the team advising on cancer claims in group litigation.

Former Deputy Head of the industrial disease and legacy claims team at an international firm, Montse has over 20 years’ experience working on behalf of both claimants and defendants. She specialises in employers’ liability, public liability, and industrial disease claims. She regularly handles high-value stress, bullying, and harassment claims as well as fatal accident cases. In the disease arena, she has particular experience of ovarian cancer, asbestos-related illnesses including mesothelioma, Hand Arm Vibration Syndrome, Carpal Tunnel Syndrome, aspergillosis, and Noise Induced Hearing Loss claims. Montse has had significant involvement in a number of cases that proceeded to the Court of Appeal.

Montse has experience of handling claims exceeding £1 million as well as handling cases in which the standard dependency calculations have been challenged.
