Mark Lanier
Mark Lanier is widely recognised as one of the leading trial lawyers in the United States and has an extensive track record in securing multi-billion dollar verdicts against large corporations arising out of mass torts and product liability litigation.
Mark founded the Lanier Law Firm in 1990, which now employs over 50 Attorneys in offices located in Houston, New York, and Los Angeles. Mark’s firm has led, and succeeded, in a number of landmark cases, including a $4.69 billion verdict against talcum powder manufacturers relating to carcinogenic products, and hip implants made by DePuy, and Vioxx. Most recently, Mark succeeded in public nuisance claims based on the opioid crisis, against some of the largest pharmaceutical retailers in the United States.
Mark is regularly described as being at the very pinnacle of legal practice in the United States, including by trade bodies and the New York Times, which identified Mark as ‘one of the top civil trial lawyers in America’. Amongst his many other accolades, Mark has been named US Trial Lawyer of the Year on numerous occasions and been awarded the Lifetime Achievement Award by the American Association of Justice. He has also featured as The Times’ lawyer of the week.
