Duncan Hedar

Duncan Hedar is a barrister and solicitor-advocate.  Before joining the bar, he was a solicitor at a Magic Circle law firm, where he was instructed on some of the largest and most-complex litigation before the English courts.

He has extensive experience acting for national and multi-national clients in high-value and business-critical litigation and arbitration. This includes in proceedings before the English High Court, International Court of Justice, and numerous arbitral bodies, including the ICC and SCC.

Since joining the Bar in 2020, Duncan has been instructed in a number of major group litigation matters. This includes advising on the merits of applications for Group Litigation Orders against a series of prominent financial institutions in relation to the mis-sale of financial products, and acting in a multi-claimant action against a major retailer in relation to a series of high-profile data breaches.

Duncan also acted in one of the largest competition claims to have come before the English High Court under the post-Brexit competition regime.
